This Privacy Policy explains how RiskIt (“RiskIt”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the RiskIt application and website (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Policy.
RiskIt is an entertainment app. All in-app currency, balances, “bets”, and “winnings” are entirely virtual and have no real-world monetary value.
• The virtual currency cannot be purchased with real money.
• It cannot be redeemed, cashed out, withdrawn, or exchanged for real money or anything of value.
• It cannot be transferred or sold to other users or third parties.
• It is provided free of charge, for entertainment only.
RiskIt does not offer real-money gambling, wagering, betting, or prizes of monetary value. No real money is ever staked, won, or lost. Any words such as “bet”, “wager”, “balance”, or “winnings” describe a simulated game experience for entertainment purposes only.
Account information: when you create an account we collect your email address, a username you choose, and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed/encrypted form — we never see or store your password in plain text.
Gameplay information: we store your virtual currency balance, game history, and game statistics such as wins and totals.
Social information: if you use social features, we store your friend connections, friend requests, and game invitations.
Automatically collected information: our service providers may process limited technical data (such as IP address and timestamps) to provide authentication, security, and to operate the service.
We do not collect payment or financial information, because the App does not process payments of any kind.
We use your information to create and secure your account; to operate gameplay and social features; to send you service-related emails such as password resets and account confirmations; to maintain the security and integrity of the App; and to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or tracking.
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the App:
• Supabase — provides our authentication and database infrastructure. Your account and gameplay data are stored here.
• Resend — delivers our transactional emails, such as password-reset messages.
Your username and game statistics may be visible to other users you connect with (for example, through friends and leaderboard features). We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of RiskIt and its users.
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase, hosted in the European Union. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and database access controls, to protect your information.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the App (Account → Delete Account). This removes your profile, virtual balance, game history, friends, and related data. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability — for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
You can exercise many of these rights directly in the App, or by contacting us at the email address below. EU and UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
RiskIt is intended for users aged 17 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
If you access the App from outside the European Union, your information will be transferred to and processed on infrastructure located in the EU. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
